-Bluff Manor is off grid. The fridge, a few lights and devices for 6 should have enough power. If not a generator is used. The stove indoor fireplace and outdoor fireplace run on propane. The toilet is a compost. Guests will need to feel comfortable running a generator if need, watching power levels and maintaining a compost toilet.

-No blow dryers, curling irons (small appliances the heat) are not allowed as they will blow the power system.

-All garbage and recyclables must be removed from the Island and brought home with you. If not a $50 fee per bag will be charged.

-Our water is from a well. It is good to drink but some people prefer to bring their own bottled water.

-Because of the large deer population we are not able to accommodate pets. Sorry about that.

-Bluff manor sits on a 120 ft bluff therefore it is not safe for small children.

-If you plan on doing any prawning, clam digging etc. you can pick up a licence in lund

-Because of the fire ban on the island we do not allow any smoking or candles on the property.

-Guests need to be respectful of the neighbours, therefore no parties or large gatherings please, Quiet time after 11:00pm.

-Book your ferries, water taxi, land taxi and parking well in advance. Lundwatertaxi.com also runs the land taxi and will get you organized. You will need the address. You can also arrange parking at this point Lundparking.com

-Be organized with packing clothes and food items. Pack them in large rubbermaid containers for easy transportation on the water taxi. We find making food ahead of time and freezing it works best. Its less to pack over and at creates less garbage.

-We have "Island bikes" at the cottage. If you want something better then "meh" best to bring your own.
